Set up Kriv but he needs the tweaks for the point buy and Ability increases. He is unassigned in the campaign page. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 27,621 Moderator | Moderator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 27,621 | Have we got the campaign invite link for d&dbeyond? | | | | Joined: Jan 2023 Posts: 5,302 Likes: 13 Coordinator of Chaos Member | Coordinator of Chaos Member Joined: Jan 2023 Posts: 5,302 Likes: 13 | | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 42,163 Likes: 5 Member | Member Joined: May 2000 Posts: 42,163 Likes: 5 | Hell ... I couldn't even get it to let me log in with my google account <sigh> FWIW I had similar problems when one of my games started using one of the other similar sites. Maybe I am too old to hang out here any more <sigh>

No clue what I did to correct it. | | | | Joined: Jan 2023 Posts: 5,302 Likes: 13 Coordinator of Chaos Member | Coordinator of Chaos Member Joined: Jan 2023 Posts: 5,302 Likes: 13 | What Internet Browser are you using?

Seems like 200 foot radius on the map image? That spell should get just a couple of people in its AOE unless it was cast as a 9th level spell? Curious as typically that spell works best indoors as its AOE is very small for an outdoor setting.)

Turns out Pale Moon is a close cousin to Firefox. Firefox. Found this on a message board: UPDATE: Found the problem, the latest version of Firefox has automatic cookie blocking enabled, I was able to fix the login issue by following this guide: Click on Menu and select Settings Go to Privacy & Security Under Browser Privacy > Enhanced Tracking Protection Choose Custom Click the dropdown arrow for cookies and select “cross-site tracking cookies, and isolate other cross-site cookies” Restart Firefox It might be a similar issue. | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,481 Likes: 13 Maris Imperium Member | Maris Imperium Member Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,481 Likes: 13 | (OOC - 20 foot radius? Maybe not. It's large enough to carry a rider, though. You'll probably figure it out who cast the spell in upcoming RP. and if so is its last known location after moving but before casting within 120ft of Kriv? Yes, the 16 grid squares it takes up are within 120 feet of Kriv, but he'd be shooting at the location from memory since he can't even see 5 feet in front of him, much less 120, and a DM might rule that he randomly hits anyone in the fog cloud with some probability. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 42,163 Likes: 5 Member | Member Joined: May 2000 Posts: 42,163 Likes: 5 | It =might= be something similar, but I tend to avoid sites that require the installation of 'stuff'. I like to keep things simple <wink>

The bandit battle is essentially over: you've killed over half of them and would probably kill the rest on this turn, and they're going to be retreating if still alive. We could slog through in initiative order or... you can all post your intentions for your next turn and we can resolve in RP. That way if you really want the satisfaction of those final hits we can make it happen. Like we know Glork is swinging randomly at the nearest melee target, Jaliera's cautiously backing away from the melee, Bern's going to try to mop up attackers near him and Kriv is still trying to decide if shooting at a gargantuan bird is in the party's best interests. Note: per the rules, attacks at a target you can't see are at disadvantage, but the target is similarly unable to see your attack which in theory neutralizes that and makes it a normal roll. I think this situation (a massive fog cloud where nearly everyone can't see each other) is one the rules don't really cover well so I'm using judgment on blind ranged shots to attempt to be more "realistic" (as if a bird with the wingspan of a 747 is realistic, but you know what I mean). | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 42,163 Likes: 5 Member | Member Joined: May 2000 Posts: 42,163 Likes: 5 | Bern will look around to see if he can 'spot' a target. If anyone looks like they are considering remaining, he will fire.

Disrupt the concentration, disrupt the spell. The size of the potential enemy is problematic, but the party has driven a dragon off before and is largely in decent order with plenty of resources. | | | | Joined: May 2009 Posts: 15,166 Likes: 11 Chaotic Obfuscator Moderator | Chaotic Obfuscator Moderator Joined: May 2009 Posts: 15,166 Likes: 11 | I assume Dispel won't affect the fog spell because it is already in evidence, ie no longer magic.

The way I read the rules, dispel would have worked but required a DC 16 check with your spellcasting ability. The bird is CR11 and does an average of 50 damage (multiattack 27 and 23) and has 248 HP. Not to mention the damage the CR9 rider could inflict throwing rocks with an average 30 damage. Would be a fun fight! ChatGPT for song lyrics. It is a GREAT time to be a bard! LOL! And I believe if the "magic" needs concentration to maintain then it can be dispelled, with a successful roll of course. It is not a natural fog.

Ie, “if you don’t want to be hurt while we destroy your villages get out of the way.” The fact that they buried something there a thousand or more years ago does not give them the right to kill and destroy to regain it. Again, negotiate and talk. Otherwise you are nothing but a bunch of brutes who don’t deserve anyone to take your side.
