You should ask if Bronwyn has "Clothes Beam" in her spell list. | | | | Joined: Jun 2002 Posts: 10,340 Likes: 1 Administrator | Administrator Joined: Jun 2002 Posts: 10,340 Likes: 1 | I never new such a spell existed, until I looked that up. Just would not want to be around anyone casting 'Dispell Magic' | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,070 Likes: 9 Wobbly Headed Administrator | Wobbly Headed Administrator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,070 Likes: 9 | I really enjoyed this scrap. A triton paladin was right at home. Breathe and swim underwater, check. Underwater weapon, check. Darkvision, check. Immunity to disease, check! So if the rest of the adventure takes place in a desert, I won't feel short-changed. | 1 member likes this:

I mean ... I have never puked after a couple of beers <shrug>

Zeim said: OOC - Nep - Zhu has stayed in the water as it felt better on her skin so I believe she would not feel the burning until she left it. In addition, if she was not in the water the healing would not work. Zeim, The roll I asked Aquadyne to make was to see if Bronwyn could figure out if she needed to cast some cure disease before the cure wounds. Had the roll been successful, Bronwyn would have cast the cure disease spell before the cure wounds. Failing the roll, she did it in the reverse order. Zhu wouldn't realize that her skin would burn until she got out of the water and at some point she would have. Roleplay it as you wish. Effect all the same.

They regain no hit points. | | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 22,222 Likes: 9 (Buffalo) Moderator | (Buffalo) Moderator Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 22,222 Likes: 9 | Answering the question about light, everyone who does not have Darkvision has a "light coin", I believe. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,070 Likes: 9 Wobbly Headed Administrator | Wobbly Headed Administrator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,070 Likes: 9 | Nice. So I think we just need to ransack the place for loot and vamoose. Then Nep can give us a gigaton of XP and we can level up! | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 18,012 Likes: 2 Moderator | OP Moderator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 18,012 Likes: 2 | Zeim, Incorrect. It wouldn't do anything for them until the symptoms started to show. Read the tentacle action more carefully. Also about light, it's not an issue because Kolbaz would cast it as needed.

Zhu would do it but she has to stay in a bathtub for 3 days so she's not the best option. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,070 Likes: 9 Wobbly Headed Administrator | Wobbly Headed Administrator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,070 Likes: 9 | So are we saying the loot is legal salvage and doesn't have to be returned to its rightful owners, most of whom presumably have next of kin in town? | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 18,012 Likes: 2 Moderator | OP Moderator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 18,012 Likes: 2 | I'm saying it's there. It depends. Who am I to say how some random townspeople react to you walking around with salvaged loot?

What loot did we find? | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,481 Likes: 13 Maris Imperium Member | Maris Imperium Member Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,481 Likes: 13 | DM Meanwhile, Kriv and Arus, while looking about the structure that held them captive in the western end of the aboleth’s lair, they find the compiled treasures of its noble victims. There are three neatly folded noble attires, each gaudy and expensive and now soaking wet with sewer water, as well as pouches containing a combined sum of 92 platinum pieces, 108 gold pieces, 45 silver pieces, two tourmalines (100gp each) and a single emerald. There’s also a pair of boots and what looks like musical pipes.
Additionally you find Artan Rossolio’s lost pendant, resplendent with its capital R engraved in emeralds on an onyx disk. Lastly, there’s ten Golden Goose coins, each worth 10gp. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,070 Likes: 9 Wobbly Headed Administrator | Wobbly Headed Administrator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,070 Likes: 9 | Well, I imagine this would get discussed later and by the light of day but Arus would propose the party give the whole lot to the Waterbaron. Otherwise the party will be carrying it around as "lost property", stuck with its encumbrance but unable to spend it until we're sure no-one will come to claim it, which could be never.
Artan's pendant can be given directly to him.
What do you all think?
If we all agree then there's probably no point in discussing it in-character. | | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 22,222 Likes: 9 (Buffalo) Moderator | (Buffalo) Moderator Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 22,222 Likes: 9 | Well Noble Attire would be noticeable as would Artan's pendant. But the rest (coins and gems)? No one could say "Hey I recognize that gold piece!"
As for the boots and musical instruments, Zhu would like to see what they are and might have some interest in the boots if they are magical and would be of use to her, just as I am sure Sindar might be interested in the musical instrument.
Meta-gaming, those have all the smell of magic items placed into the treasure specifically for the party to have as a reward for the encounter. I would be against giving them up. | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,481 Likes: 13 Maris Imperium Member | Maris Imperium Member Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,481 Likes: 13 | Someone should try playing the pipes and see if a bunch of rats start to follow you around. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 27,621 Moderator | Moderator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 27,621 | Artan's Pendant, Kriv will return to Artan's mother as requested. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,070 Likes: 9 Wobbly Headed Administrator | Wobbly Headed Administrator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,070 Likes: 9 | So, I think this is probably what we're aiming for: - Noble attires returned with the rescued nobles
- Artan's Pendant returned to Artan's mother by Kriv
- Boots and pipes to be examined by Zhu for magicalness
- Coins and gems distributed amongst player characters equally, taking into account Zhu's findings above
In the first level of the sewer we also found: - 3 of Potions of Water Breathing, distributed and all since used?
- Dagger and studded leather armour carried by Davroar
- Rapier (magicalness unverified but likely) carried by Sindar
None of this stuff has been verified for magicalness, afaik.
