Has Sindar drank his water breathing potion?

I'm sorry, I already played the move based on your post. And yes, he drank his potion last turn.
And I hope you're pleased with the results. | | | | Joined: May 2009 Posts: 15,166 Likes: 11 Chaotic Obfuscator Moderator | Chaotic Obfuscator Moderator Joined: May 2009 Posts: 15,166 Likes: 11 | LOL, you read my mind!
That was exactly what I would have done, and you wrote it better!

First serving of fried seafood at the Yartar Sewer Seafood Bistro. My dice luck has got to run out soon, I'll make sure you get a chance to resume next time around! | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,481 Likes: 13 Maris Imperium Member | Maris Imperium Member Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,481 Likes: 13 | Works for me! I think you have been doing a =great= job AD <g> I'm having too much fun. I should probably get my own character, though! | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 42,163 Likes: 5 Member | Member Joined: May 2000 Posts: 42,163 Likes: 5 | Well ... I, for one, would welcome your character ... assuming he/she was 'compatible' with the group <weg>

Hate to burst that bubble, but you need to roll to hit twice more. The first d20 will be for that crit. The second for that second hit. You see, you have disadvantage for using a range magic spell against an adjacent target. I don't understand what I need to roll. Also as I understand the disadvantage for range against adjacent target is for weapons but not for spells. | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,481 Likes: 13 Maris Imperium Member | Maris Imperium Member Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,481 Likes: 13 | I don't understand what I need to roll. OK, I see it now. Eldritch blast specifies "ranged attack" in the description. I'm rather annoyed that Roll20 automatically picked melee spell attack. That's gotta be a bug. | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,481 Likes: 13 Maris Imperium Member | Maris Imperium Member Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,481 Likes: 13 | Is this the right spot to complain that according to geometry the diagonal is 7.07 feet which is further away than 5? | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 18,012 Likes: 2 Moderator | OP Moderator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 18,012 Likes: 2 | You may always feel free to complain about the geometry here in the OOC: thread. It's good to vent, even if it won't get you anywhere.

I rule that it works under water. "Blloobllop blo bllooo ooobblob!"

Nep, Zeim, is that a paladin vs monk thing in 5e? I recall reading that a Four Elements monk was probably the weakest subclass for monk but Arus seems leagues ahead in a fight and afaik Conqueror paladin isn't even considered the most powerful subclass. Would you say monks are on the weaker end of the spectrum in 5e? | | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 22,222 Likes: 9 (Buffalo) Moderator | (Buffalo) Moderator Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 22,222 Likes: 9 | Yes. PHB Monk and PHB Ranger are generally considered two of the weaker classes. They tweaked Ranger to bump it up and I think they did now for Monk too.
Just as an FYI, based on conversations at Gencon those who like to Min-Max seemed to agree one of the best was a Multi-class Paladin/Warlock. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,070 Likes: 9 Wobbly Headed Administrator | Wobbly Headed Administrator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,070 Likes: 9 | I saw they added a much more powerful subclass in Tasha's (Astral Self) but nowt for existing monk subclasses. | | | | Joined: May 2009 Posts: 15,166 Likes: 11 Chaotic Obfuscator Moderator | Chaotic Obfuscator Moderator Joined: May 2009 Posts: 15,166 Likes: 11 | Yeah, Luminmorn was a Paladin/Warlock mix.
Oh and Aqua, if Nep allows you to do so, once I get my junk together again... I could bring back Lumi and you could take over Sindar, that would be fine with me, as long as I am not going to cramp Nem's style? | | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 22,222 Likes: 9 (Buffalo) Moderator | (Buffalo) Moderator Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 22,222 Likes: 9 | ...Well...., since Zhu is close to dropping..., Jaliera has vanished, and Bern is charmed, um, right now would be a fantastic time for Lumi to make a dramatic appearance <g>!

AquaDyne is going to DM shortly after this encounter. I felt that letting him run this encounter as his first toe-dip into DMing was cruel. This is about as complicated an encounter as there can be.
