I'm posting about 2 popular shows on Netflix that happen to be South Korean. Both are graphically violent and that struck me as interesting. I found Squid Games interesting only because of how gory it got. The story is about people desperate enough to gamble their lives away in a sick competition to see who the last person standing is.
On the other hand, 5 episodes into Hellbound, I am spellbound. Wow is it intense! Yes, it's explicit in it's violence, but it's the entire concept that has me riveted. Without giving away too much, it's about people that are damned to hell for their sins and the emergence of a God-cult around it. It certainly has religious (fanatic?) overtones. I'm curious if anyone else is watching.
