yes, he played the antagonist, Hedley Lamar, a corrupt politician who was trying to buy out the land from the residents of Rock Ridge so that when the railroad came through he could make a lot of money selling to them.
He also didn't have man movie roles. he is most notable as a sketch comedian and character actor on TV shows. His major claim to fame comes from playing on the Carol Burnett show, Tim Conway show, and Harvey Korman show- but Carol Burnett's show was the most famous. He was in several Mel Brooks films but this might be a tough whirlpool to get out of. He was an excellent straight man to tim conway. they loved to try and break each other up during the live skits on tv. Below is a favorite sketch of mine- The Dentist
I could drop another Mel Brooks movie, but i worry that he circle of people in Mel Brooks movies was rather insular... Mel liked to use the same actors in his campy off beat films. Well, I know 3 other movies she was in, but only one that I could name a different actor in. I was waiting to see if anyone else wanted to go a different direction first... but I'm hoping by sticking with mice we can escape to a more well known cast member.
Eva also was Miss Bianca in the original The Rescuers, and her main partner was voiced by....
aside from being in McHale's Navy sitcom... he did a lot of Disney live action movies... including a recurring role of Dean Higgins across three movies(i think it was just three).
so let's go with one of my wife's favorite movies as a kid...
