Phoenix, I was just coming on to see if anyone had watched this yet... and email you with a nudge that you might like it
I did enjoy the show. I admit, I have watched the 6 episodes twice now... Friday was a slow day and binged it then, then did a rewatch over the last two days. I liked the series. The first time through, I was fitting pieces together (I had never watched the animated show) and once I knew how the premise worked, did the rewatch.
Fun. Definitely mature audiences. Like PP said, the language is there, so is a ton of pot use. With that in mind, kind of surprised it's being marketed as the new Young Adult show.
If you like The Magicians and/or The Order, it's a fun show that might help keep the blues at bay since those two other shows went off the air. Definitely hoping that there will be a season two.
One thing that was irritating to me though was that with the exception for one character, there is absolutely no reprisal for bad behavior anywhere in the show. I wanted to put the main character in lock down at the very least at several points in the show.
Other than that, fun ride, not many twists, but wonderful effects and a few characters that I really liked.
