Funny things, eyes. So many potential wavelengths of light and other forms of radiation. A few tweaks to the receptors here, and you’re up in the ultraviolet. A another alteration and you’re down in the infrared, looking at heat. You don’t even have to take abilities humans don’t have, you can take away some they do, selectively. Anecdotally, color blind bombardiers can see through camouflage, so that’s worth trying.
