and thank you all for being patient with me... I had fun with each and everyone of you. I wonder and hop if there is another tale yet to be told... wherein Gypsy might artfully bring another character to life... and as for AJ, the same would be wished if Babay is truly gone and irretrievable.
It might take a few weeks for Pandemonium to recover from his surgery, so in the meantime I'll ghost Preach. Let's pick up the pace and see if we can't reach an ending by end of June!
Aye, over a year of work work work and no R&R is brutal! I'm ready to Bilbo Baggins off to Rivendell, I can tell you.
But anyway, from a GM perspective it's most important to me that you guys post if it's giving you enjoyment and relief from the grind. I don't want it to be another chore for you. Plenty of those already.
But let's celebrate our game in this last scene, in traditional Star Wars-style.
(And AJ, it's that Sailor Moon outfit you keep wearing, it stands out.)
These are some lovely posts, guys, I'll keep this scene rolling and we'll feel out the right place to end.
In the meantime, even though we never used a battle map, The Force Awakens Beginner Game does come with one and pop-out tokens. So I did make digital versions of your characters, the NPCs, adversaries, etc.
You can view them in Game Materials and they also serve as a recap of your adventure in a galaxy far far away.
Your characters have had plenty of time to talk on the ship, so feel free to read the other team's game threads if you want.
Reading the OOC, seems like just in time to end things.
Love the Sailor Moon Parady. Good thing I wasn't sipping anything, it would have come out of my nose.
I will continue to read to catch up, but I don't have to return to things, rather than interrupt the flow that you have established. Content to just read.
Let us know when you're caught up and happy to post, Pande. I'll keep ghosting until then to keep Preach in the scene. Having said that, we are very near the end!
We got there, folks. Thank you all for playing, including our casualties AJ and Gypsy, enriching the story with your character's sacrifices.
You've all done great. I started this game when I realised lockdown was going to take a while so it's fitting that now restrictions have lifted we come to an end.
(Apologies for that last flurry of ghosting btw but I didn't want to leave us hanging as we take our various breaks for summer.)
Probably a good time for John Williams' last Star Wars finale! Enjoy!
It's been a good run and is funny in retrospect because it feels to me like it ran for a long time but was actually quite short.
The difference compared to usual, of course, being the pandemic and how that's affected my perception of time.
But we got through a lot. The beginner game and the follow-up web adventure, two FFG systems, the first using the Star Wars dice and the second the positive and negative d6s.
I was hoping by the time the game ended we'd have a new published Star Wars RPG to talk about but Edge Studios haven't made any announcements whatsoever, despite holding the licence for over a year.
The Star Wars licence's restriction on PDFs must be hugely offputting to the publishers. The licence is only for the printed, pen-and-paper RPG. PDFs are classed as electronic games under the Star Wars licence so aren't permitted. Hence why PDFs of FFG's Star Wars RPGs were never released.
So long as Disney rule out PDF versions, it's hard to imagine a new Star Wars RPG taking off in this day and age.
