Here are the rules as composed originally by Don, iirc.
Player one: Star Wars, Player Two: Mark Hamil, Player Three: Corvette Summer, Player Four: Annie Potts, Player Five: Ghostbusters, etc., etc.
[nemarsde tweak]No repeats within 5 steps and avoid getting caught in a loop with MCU or Fast & Furious movies, for example. Long-running franchises with ensemble casts can allow you go round and round indefinitely.[/nemarsde tweak]
No IMDb please <expect to look up dates of movies with identical titles or spellings of names>. grin
You need to follow the chain as it is drawn, no jumping. If we have Stephen Moyer on the table and someone plays Prince Valiant then the Prince Valiant you have to go out of is the one that had Stephen Moyer in it, no matter how many other movies out there are named Prince Valiant.
A clarification on play. We want to avoid using archival footage. For purposes of our game Dick Clark, Bob Hope, President Kennedy etc. Did not appear in Forrest Gump.
I won't make this a rule but rather a recommendation. Please avoid films that have not been released/aired in the U.S.
And just for the sake of putting it into the written rules mostly for sake of newcomers voice work (animated films) and made-for-TV movies are allowed but not mini-series.
Oh, and the idea is not to stump everyone but to keep the chain going for as long as possible. We play this one on road trips and I don't know why I didn't think to start this up here years ago. It is perfect for the online community because you can jump in whenever and wherever or as often as you want.

I recognize the need to prohibit this case, but coming in as a new player it was nice only having to look back through a smaller number of pages instead of all 9, especially since the "all" option wasn't available to search the whole thread at once. Fun fact. I was once waiting at the MRY airport for a taxi, when a Mercedes pulled up into the "Taxi Only" parking, where the occupant was waiting for his wife to come out. I was debating whether to say anything about the blatant violation of the rules, when I saw the man get out of the car to help his wife put the luggage in the trunk.
It was Clint.
He could probably have afforded the ticket. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,062 Likes: 9 Wobbly Headed Administrator | OP Wobbly Headed Administrator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,062 Likes: 9 | | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,328 Likes: 13 Maris Imperium Member | Maris Imperium Member Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,328 Likes: 13 | | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,062 Likes: 9 Wobbly Headed Administrator | OP Wobbly Headed Administrator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,062 Likes: 9 | Robin Hood Prince of Thieves | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 16,033 Likes: 20 Mayhem Inc. Magnum went back to visit places that were part of his backstory. This is the episode but I can't find a video of it at the moment. Yes, it was part 1 of a 2-part episode but when it aired, they did them both back-to-back. My classmate in my company, Mike Rose, was Brigade Commander at the time so he got the actual head shot for a few seconds (RHIP). This was him. I'm somewhere in the mass of mids behind him, but I can't even find myself so don't bother looking. I always wondered how prevailent unpaid extras are in the industry. No, it's all about the fifteen seconds of fame! Or maybe five. Or one. . I think it's extremely common. With me and Magnum, it was an open invitation to stand around in a formation on camera for the hours it would take for the five-second shot, and many opted not to join, as we wasted so many hours per day doing that already. But for a chance to point at yourself on TV later? Worth the time-waste, I thought. I arrived later and got stuck further back, though, so maybe it wasn't worth it. With my wife and A Time To Kill, this was a few years before I met her. The filming was in Canton, and her mother managed a movie theatre in Jackson, the nearest big city. Off-duty staff came to watch movies (comped, of course.). That led to her hobnobbing with the director and other staff, who invited them on set for a day of filming. Being a VIP guest of the Director meant all the other "extras" hanging around for the filming thought they were big stars and kept telling them they knew they had seen them in some movie or another. They did get their faces spritzed with water to look more sweaty. Not that it mattered, they were in the courtroom balcony, so far away from the cameras and often blurred out. This is probably the best shot: My wife had a crush on Matthew McConaughey, of course, but he (and the rest of the cast) was rather distant, probably trying to remain "in character". ... And... don't know what else Robert Shaw was in, so continuing to munch popcorn. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 22,963 Numbers Geek Moderator | Numbers Geek Moderator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 22,963 | | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,062 Likes: 9 Wobbly Headed Administrator | OP Wobbly Headed Administrator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,062 Likes: 9 | Sean Connery

And since we had Bond already, I'll go with good old Stellan Skarsgard, which gives us a couple of big movie franchises to play with. | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 16,033 Likes: 20 Mayhem Inc. I was barely paying attention when the youngsters watched that. Lily James was in it but what the heck else has she been in other than TV? Ah but wait, Hayley Atwell had a cameo and I will never forget that one franchise movie she was in in that red dress. | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 16,033 Likes: 20 Mayhem Inc. Looks like she's been in more movies than Hayley Atwell. I only watched The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society during lockdown actually. Decent film, just a touch overlong.
Alas, although I think Jim Cummings is the voice of Winnie the Pooh, I'm not sure where we can go from here.
The Tigger Movie? | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,328 Likes: 13 Maris Imperium Member | Maris Imperium Member Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 10,328 Likes: 13 | I'm out, no idea who he is Alas, although I think Jim Cummings is the voice of Winnie the Pooh, I'm not sure where we can go from here.
The Tigger Movie? Yes, he's been Pooh and Tigger since 1988, but that's just one of his roles. You could probably pick any recent (last 30 years) animated movie at random and he'd have voiced one of the characters in it. He's like the Kevin Bacon of animated voice acting! Disney, WB, Dreamworks, he's hit them all. Unfortunately, while there were big-name stars in many of the other movies he's voiced, I'm not so sure about others in the Tigger movie. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,062 Likes: 9 Wobbly Headed Administrator | OP Wobbly Headed Administrator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,062 Likes: 9 | OK, let's take a mulligan. Forget The Tigger Movie then. If you're correct, AquaDyne, there's a good chance of landing an animated film with a more well known cast by picking one at random. So, I can never remember which films are Disney and which are Pixar any more, but Dreamworks haven't done quite so many animated works. He is Winnie the Pooh for 30+ years, and Tigger for the last 20 I believe. He is one of the most prolific and well known voice actors alive right now.
Oh bother! you guys have really boxed yourself in with this one...
but after i sat and had a think in my thotful spot I realized I could give you a narrow window to get out of this blustery day!
He did a couple voices in Disney's 1992 animated feature Aladdin- the one i remember specifically was the Captain of the guards who chased our hero around the streets of Agrabah, named Razoul- the other was a merchant, name escapes me right now- but it was a great scene where jasmine has to pretend that she is crazy and that the monkey abu is the sultan so she isn't recognized as the princess. Love love love my disney stuffs

As for Jim Cummings, yes he was in Shrek (captain of the guard). I remember him as "Ed" the hyena in Lion King, and he took over Scar from Jeremy Irons. That would have lead to James Earl Jones but y'all missed that chance. My favorite character he voiced was "Ray" the firefly in Princess and the Frog. He was in the Incredibles series, Toy Story series, Monsters Inc, Jungle Book, Hunchback, Wreck it Ralph, the original Alice in Wonderland as the Cheshire Cat. Non-disney credits besides Shrek include Despicable Me and Minions, Gnomeo and Juliet, Secret life of Pets, a few others I'm not aware of I'm sure. | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 16,033 Likes: 20 Mayhem Inc. Owen Wilson was also in Night at the Museum.

I thought someone would play John Boyega or Anthony Mackey, and that would lead us onto some nice easy Star Wars or Marvel movies. Ah well, I guess that ends this round.
