The combination of space and future point potential attracts Weez and AJ to Row 1 with guaranteed safe plays, leaving only one spot on a somewhat expensive row.

Gypsy and Argus also play cards guaranteed to be safe this round.

But space, and safety, is getting scarce.

Argus and Weez race for the 1-point row, with Argus winning by a comfortable margin. That leaves only one spot on the former Row 1 for Gypsy and AJ to fight over. Fortunately for Gypsy, AJ decided he liked Row 3 better and lets her claim that spot unchallenged!

There's room for 1 on Row 3, but three people play there. Weez cleverly slips in a high point card just in time for Gypsy to take 10 points, while AJ played high enough to avoid the carnage.

The players pair up two by two, with neither pair wanting to risk the 2-point Row 3, a likely bust target.

Gypsy and AJ aim for Row 1, both with guaranteed safe plays.

Weez and Argus both head for Row 4, where there's only a single spot and for the second consecutive turn, Weez plays spoiler and fills the row with 9 points just in time for Argus to clear it.

The 1 point bust row attracts two volunteers, but AJ claims the point and spares Weez the trouble.

With two full rows in the middle, the options were slim. Playing under the 17 would earn 2 points, but nobody did that. Only the 18 or 19 could play on Row 1 and be guaranteed safe; and Weez takes advantage of that guarantee.

That left the other three players going high. Nobody played over the 94 on Row 4, meaning there was a race to not take Row 3. AJ, unfortunately, loses that race with the lowest of the cards in the 80s, collecting 10 points. Argus and Gypsy let out a sigh of relief as they don't get those points.

The situation is not as dire, but the choices are equally slim as everyone crowds on to Row 1. This time the goal was not to be the third person in line, a fate AJ avoids by playing high, and Argus and Gypsy avoid by playing low. Weez is stuck in the middle, collecting 5 points.
