Sorry to interrupt in your game but I had a question for you. What do you use for mapping of encounters?

Just curious Nep ... are you saying that you want the 'non-magic users' to just walk in and start fiddling with 'random stuff' in the rooms? While that might be exciting ... I doubt the excitement would last all that long <chuckle>

Ken,
I've use lots of things in the past but now I use Roll20 which makes mapping easy. You can create a free game there, throw up your maps which then get a grid, if you so like. Next step is to add/create tokens for PCs and monsters. Place therm and there's your map. My players know to move their tokens in Roll20. I usually just take a screen shot, go into Paint, crop out what I don't want and add the map here. You'll see that there's a link to this game's corresponding Roll20 game in the list of threads. If you like, we can get together online and I can show you how. Note that I've been on Roll20 since: 07/10/13 and according to their stats I've played 6630 hours there. Zeim and I ran Hoard of the Dragon Queen and The Rise of Tiamat to 20th level there for our FTF friends.

MikeD,
I can honestly say that there's not a single PC in this party that lacks spell casting of some sort.

Nep - Not sure what's changed in the pc sheet you've downloaded from Roll20 but if you look at Zhu's and Arus' they are different then everyone else's. The font is huge and much of the information is missing or truncated from the sheet?

My house is FINALLY in some order! The contractors left Friday but I've been working like a dog since. I had to undo/redo a lot of their work, move furniture, yada, yada. But we're there now smile

I'm trying to coordinate integrating Neil back into the game. He and I have been going at it for about 2 months now in PM threads and any delays here are because I've put some effort into getting him moved forward. The timing looks really good for a Xmas reunion!

Looking forward to meeting up with Neil. Glad your house is done now :-)

Any update on fixing the pc sheets?

I am perfectly happy to 'go slow' until Neil is ready to join us!! Welcome Neil!!!!

Also, good news on the house!! I hate a disrupted house, but (hopefully) the result is worth the pain! <vbg>

I wouldn't say that "the house" is done - just about 1/3 of it. Lots more work in the plan.
As for Neil, nobody has to wait for him. It's probably the opposite. He's probably a bit further along than you all.

<heh heh heh> Yeah, I get that on the 'home improvements' <g> I have owned three houses in my life and all but the last one had been an 'ongoing project' <chuckle>

Neil, I am sure that you will fit in <vbg>

Yep. We still have to rip up the carpet upstairs, refinish the hardwood floors, paint upstairs, refurnish, put a new roof on and relandscape. Sometimes I think moving is the cheaper alternative!

Apologies. The wife is on a role. Once I did the downstairs she decided we had to do her office. I've spend my day off today painting. Much more work coming so figure I'm slow until New Years.

I’ve told my wife she can do anything she wants to the house, redo the kitchen, put in new floors, anything. My only requirement is that we hire someone to do it. I am beyond any interest in doing the work myself.

Believe me. The stuff I do isn't tough. The only problem is having a boss that wants things done when the mood strikes her, without consideration of what I want to do with my free time.

A quick note everyone. The power of the Forge of Spells is limited. See the description attached.

You might then be wondering what that mean to the doppelganger. Would you put him above still try to sell it anyway? Let's assume he's not Lawful Good and has nefarious motives. Is there something that he knows or is trying to learn that could revitalize it and make the effects last longer? These are things you can think about for now.
