"Oh. You must stay for Greengrass!" Reidoth was the first to exclaim that but instantly after him, Sister Garaele added her voice to the invitation followed soon by all the residents of Phandelin that were in the taproom of the Stonehill Inn that remained before the liberators of the Wave Echo Caverns settled in for the night.

Indeed, the festival was a half tenday away and it made little sense to not stay. Of course, Chandan had said his farewells and decided not to stay for the celebration. He explained why, and it it probably would have made sense if you understood why "the butterfly was heavy and the wind was so savory". Alas, folks are unique and Chandan was a prime example of unique.

Over the next few days Luminmorn took up the offer to assist the townsfolk with the cleansing of the mines and after that cleaning he would stay in Tresendar Manor and tidy that up too. It would be your home if you ever decided to settle down in the town. Proceeds from the mine would pay for the upkeep. It would surprise few if Luminmorn was thinking of converting the building into a temple to Lathandar.

The townsfolk were excited to have another that god represented in their town. Most worshipers in Faerun, aside from clerics and their ilk, worshiped at the altars of several gods. One prayed to Tymora for luck and good fortune and to Lathandar for light and life. Reidoth was a devotee of Silvanus so there would be many different blessings being doled out during the holiday.

The festival came and as tradition had it there was flowing wine, food and most of all flowers everywhere. It was the festival to welcome in the first day of spring which was the day between the months of Tarsakh and Mirtul. For some observers it was holy day, which it was for Reidoth who gave sacrifice by burying a wooden quarterstaff. Many townsfolk, led by Reidoth's longtime friend, Queline Alderleaf, participated in the rituals. But mostly the day was about blessings, prayers, song, dance and gluttany. Tables were set up and adorned with flowers in the town square. Everyone in the village contributed something to the event whether it was the food, the tables that food was placed on, or even just muscle and labor to set up. It was a glorious day filled with joy and hope for the town with the potential windfall of revenue expected from the mines.

As dusk arrived, plans for the future which had been delayed for a bit were now imminent. And with the impending disbursal of the heroes, Gundren Rockseeker stood up on a table to make an announcement. "Friends! Happy Greengrass to all! We have work to do yet. First, a final thank you to our heroes!"

And with that the entire town cheered and chanted the names of the adventurers that had rescued Gundren's brother Nundro.

"I have decided to host another celebration! This one will be to formally reopen the mines. The festivities will be held on Highharvestide, right here, in the town square!"

He looks directly at the rescue team and says to you, "I expect you to be here!"

OOC: This is a simple launching point for your time away from Phandelin and so that you may start posting. Zeim, you're PC is not here so, you need to chill a bit. This is really a way for the other PC's to tie up any loose ends and will end with them parting ways with a promise to be back here soon. If you have had a change of heart about what you'll do with your downtime, post the new objectives here.

<Bern>

Well, it wasn't that he didn't like the enthusiasm of the locals. But he had had enough of the 'celebrity'. He was eager to get away from 'civilization' and he =did= need to get Davroar to the Emerald Enclave for his initiation.

He gave Davroar a questioning look. Did he intend to stay ... or was he ready to move on as well?

Davroar

The small town of Phandelin and its simple folk has grown on him, and deciding to stay for Greengrass was a simple one to make. In the days following up to it, he would have joined Luminmorn to help in clearing out the last of any undead or other nasty creatures lurking in the mines. Once that was done he would be found with either Jaliera, or bugging Reidoth with questions about the Emerald Enclave on a quiet evening. Closer to the festival he will gladly help with setting up the tables and chairs in the town square.

On the day of the festival, he will pay attention to the rituals and blessings that Reidoth performs. Helping out if needed too. Davroar is not particularly devout to any one God, but is learning to be respectful to those that are.

In between all of the festivities, Davroar has a fun time dancing and drinking. Though during short periods of quiet between songs, drinks, and conversations, Davroar would close his eyes and feel that all of this revelry is a fleeting moment in time. Nature and the wilds tug at his soul even now, and a little bit of sadness also hits him as the only part missing for him is Chandan who disappeared into the night back on the day they all arrived back from the mines. Davroar thought Chandan might have returned for Greengrass, but it seems he did not. He claps his hands with the rest of the people as they chant their names, and a silent prayer to those heroes names that did not return.

Raising a hand in acknowledgement to Gundren's request to come back for Highharvestide, he catches Bern's look and gives a slight nod, even though he is not quite sure what he is in agreement with. Both Bern and Reidoth had told him there will be an initiation ceremony of some sort. The details of which were kept a little vague, but he has accepted into joining the Emerald Enclave and is anxious to get it done. Hopefully it will not take too much time so that he can join Jaliera going back to Neverwinter.

The day of departure was at hand. Kriv and Ryssa would be heading south, to Waterdeep. Bern, Davroar and Jaliera all had business in or near Neverwinter to the north. And so the two groups split at this time after agreeing to meet back in Phandelin at Highharvestide. Luminmorn would stay in Phandelin, help them in the cleansing of both the mines and Tresendar Manor. He promises to have clean rooms for everyone of the departing heroes in the manor when they return.

The townsfolk wave you off.
