Order of Play:
  • Weez - 5
  • Argus - 13
  • Exeter - 78
  • Gypsy - 101
  • AJ - 104

Nobody could play on Row 1, and Weez, who chose to tactically bust on the first round, declined to take 5 points when she could take 1 point instead, swiping Row 3, affecting absolutely no one else this turn.

Argus landed on the old Row 2 as expected, and everyone else conspired to make a 4-pointer row that will remain unplayable until someone decides to intentionally take those points...

Every card between 6 and 16, except the 10, is guaranteed safe. And that's what everybody plays!

Everyone fits onto Row 3.

Well, not everyone fits. The second person in line, which happens to be Argus, has to clear out all the chairs for the new gang, taking 6 points.

Order of Play:
  • Argus - 28
  • Exeter - 39
  • Weez - 54
  • Gypsy - 65
  • AJ - 94

There's room for 4 on Row 2, and four out of five players surveyed didn't think they'd be last.

AJ saw a chance to fill up Row 3 and did so!

No points this round, but I suspect that's the quiet before the storm... a 10-point and 15-point row are more than 3 players can afford to stay in the game. Will AJ or Argus suffer a mortal wound in their neck-and-neck race?

Order of Play:
  • Argus - 37
  • AJ - 46
  • Weez - 57
  • Gypsy - 61
  • Exeter - 90

Interesting strategic choices faced our intrepid players this round. Row 1 was the obvious target, where avoiding being the second in line was the plan. Argus plays a not-exactly-low card and still lucks out as the first in line, filling Row 1 to a total of six points, just in time for AJ to swoop in and collect them, tying Argus for this-hand points and letting Argus return to his 5-point lead! Weez and Gypsy follow along, while Exeter comes one point shy of a game-ending total collecting ten points for Row 2.

Order of Play:
  • AJ - 48
  • Gypsy - 59
  • Argus - 62
  • Exeter - 63
  • Weez - 66

Gypsy and AJ are each willing to take 3 points, and it's AJ who claims them, choosing Row 2.

This leaves Row 1 with its two spots for the other 3 players. Argus and Exeter were guaranteed to be safe. Weez was not; and isn't, taking 5 points.

Order of Play:
  • AJ - 2
  • Weez - 29
  • Gypsy - 52
  • Exeter - 68
  • Argus - 82

AJ spies a chance to only take 2 points with his 2, and takes it. Weez and Gypsy were also willing to take those points but are spared the minor hit.

Exeter likes the setup Weez gave him, incrementing Row 2 conservatively while Argus takes a slightly bigger but still reasonable risk.

Only four playable spaces left!

Order of Play:
  • Gypsy - 47
  • Exeter - 50
  • AJ - 76
  • Weez - 86
  • Argus - 87

Gypsy beats out Exeter for Row 1's 3 points, which is a good thing as she can afford to take those points without ending the game, while Ex can't. AJ follows along onto the new row.

Weez and Argus squeeze into the last spots on Row 2!

It's the last chance for players to choose their fate! Exeter, Gypsy, and Weez are on the edge of ending the game, meaning that the AJ vs. Argus showdown might determine the winner. Argus is currently up by 10 points, but there are still lots of points to possibly go around on the last two turns!

Order of Play:
  • AJ - 27
  • Weez - 35
  • Gypsy - 36
  • Exeter - 42
  • Argus - 43

Everyone plays under Row 1, giving AJ the opportunity to pick a bust row. He chooses the 4-pointer Row 4, hoping for a lower row total on the last round that he also expects to take... alas, his hopes are dashed as everyone piles on behind him to make a 6-point row, leaving the 5-pointer new Row 2 as the only "cheap" option for the next round.

Those 4 points move AJ to a 14-point deficit vs. Argus... he could cinch the win if Argus takes the 15 point row on the last round and one of the other 3 players takes enough points to end the game...

Code
 START BUST CURRENT

Order of Play:
  • AJ - 3
  • Gypsy - 22
  • Weez - 38
  • Exeter - 41
  • Argus - 98

And as the last cards come out, AJ might wince just a little. Had he reversed the order of his last two cards, he'd have still taken the 4 points last turn but avoided them on this one... and his 14 point deficit would have easily been erased by Argus's 15 points as he's forced to take Row 4. Gypsy would have taken the 5 points on this last turn, pushing her over 66 and ending the game with AJ in the lead by a single pip!

Alas, the game does not end, as AJ falls on his sword, collecting another 5 points. Even with Argus's 15-point play to end the game, AJ is behind by 4... but nobody goes over 66 and we get to keep playing!

And with only a 12-point difference between first and last, it's truly anyone's game!
