Is there a way to program the Dice Roller to do "fudge dice"?

Fudge dice have three values, -1, 0, and +1.

If not, there are rules for using a standard 6-sided dice.

I just thought I would ask.

Thanks!

Well I am pretty sure you can roll a D3 in the roller, so you could adapt that to those values. If you didn't want to adapt, just do it as D3-2 and I think that would work. Although I've never tested whether it allows < 0 results. Easy enough to check.

Thanks Zeim and Argus! grin And a much better solution than waiting for Pak to reprogram. His workload and commute are more than punishing. sob

Do people playing DFR (fudge) would type in d3-2,d3-2,d3-2,d3-2 smile

Just found a fudge dice instruction already built into the dice roller.

e.g. 2dF+4 (or 2dF-4) The dice roll used on the Fudge game system.

Rolls <dice> (default 4) dice, each of which has sides marked -1, 0 and +1, adds them up, adds <bonus> (default 0) to the result and finally multiplies by <mult> (default 1).

You might want to test this and see which format you prefer. smile

If I try to post a jpeg from my tablet, the pictures seem to occupy a sort of nebulous “there/not there” status, where I can see but not use at least one of them from the main gallery page but can’t see or use them at all when entering the thread. Jpg without the e works fine though. Is this normal for the system?

It sounds like an issue with the file extention. FWIW, I quit using jpeg in favor of png and have not had a problem.

And usually I do that too- unfortunately the tablet auto saves everything in jpeg format. Ah well. I’ll just do my pictures from the desktop.

Can you install an app for your image editing? I use Gimp. It is pretty light weight and offers a lot of image formats <g>

Art, the problem has cropped up in the past, I think, and it is an issue with the jpeg format. Can you change the extension of the picture... I *think* just changeing the extension name, jpeg to just jpg fixes the issue. But it has been a while since I played with that.

Yah. No biggie. It’s not a new issue. I’ll most just have to post pictures to galleries from my desktop.

Good luck Art! Maybe some of the members are iPad users and could help. We make the evil eye sign every time we see an Apple device. grin

Not a problem, just a thought. Perhaps putting Information Center on top might be nice, since new members probably would start looking at things from the top down. Just my double pennies worth.
