The ideas that were being discussed were good and bad. For his part he was content to watch the castle and listen to them talk. Fighting could come soon enough, hopefully soon enough for the dwarf they came to save.

[Chandan is putting on the Redbrand cloak. I don't know about the Dragon Cultists as a player (or character) tbh. But I do know Iarno's gang and what they've been up to, and so Chandan's going to cause trouble for them.]

Jaliera

"When we are ready to go, with Whisper watching the way forward for me, I will sneak in at the closest spot to the canvas hidden door and head for that canvas. Once there, I will wave or send Whisper to indicate you should all come. Then I will check the door and we will start our assault. We should try to be as quiet as possible and avoid a full frontal battle if possible. Hopefully we can deplete numbers as we go. Does this sound like a plan? And who needs time to replenish magic before we go?"

[OOC: Lumi is not stealthy. Probably best if we break the group into stealthful, first part, and less second part. That way some might get through. At least that is a suggestion.]

Ryssa frowned, looking around at her friends, both old and new. She did not consider herself especially stealthy.

Kriv

He took two of the dragon cloaks, wrapped one tightly over his otherwise-noisy armor, and wore the second one over it. It would be tricky to fight like that, but it might just stop his armor clinking on the approach.

If the precaution cancels out the disadvantage 15, if not, 8

Davroar

He had hoped for a bit of a rest to re-coup his shape changing powers, but it seems that everyone is agreed to move ahead now. Not wanting to waste another shape-change that could have made getting inside a whole lot easier, he takes a cloak to try and disguise himself. He will plan to be the last to approach knowing his past attempts to be sneaky is not very good at all. It turns out this time is no different when he quickly discovers that the cloak he took his way too big for him as it snags on several pieces of dead wood. This causes him to trip and cuss as he makes his way towards the front door.

[Hi Dugan. Neptune's saying that the party discussed strategy during a full rest, so we're in tip-top condition before starting our approach. Davroar should have recouped all his daily powers.]

[ooc: Is their consensus that we did have a short rest? If that is the case then Davroar can get the number of allowable shape-changes reset back to two a day and he would have taken a different form to get inside the castle. ]

[ooc: Sorry Neptune, I neglected to move Davroar on the map since his first approach as the weasel to look behind the canvas door. Then in my previous post I made a mistake thinking the group was going to enter through the canvas door and forgot to take a look at the map where everyone is. I have edited my March 1 post and re-positioned Davroar to the back of the group by the castle main doors. ]

Jaliera makes her way to the front doors with little trouble. A short flight of steps leads up to a terrace in front of the main entryway. Past the wreckage of a pair of sundered doors lies a shadowed hall. Round towers loom over the entrance way, with dark arrow slits looking down on the terrace.

She signals to the others and they follow as quietly as they can. The guards behind the arrow slits were paying little attention to the responsibilities of their job. Were it not for Davroar's mishap with his cloak and the reflexive expletive he utters, they would never have decided to get off their collective rumps.

"Who is you?" you all hear a voice call out from behind one of the arrow slits. The sharp tips of arrows can be seen pointed at you.

An unfortunate circumstance, but not insurmountable. Taking on the tones of a superior addressing his lesser,

"Did it seriously take you this long to see our approach? Dear me, the Spider will be furious when he hears. We have urgent business with the Spider owing to developments in Thundertree. You aren't high up enough in the Spider's confidence to know about it."
