One familiar logo or logotype can speak volumes, this is why they're used, this is why millions of dollars are spent developing them. On DreamLyrics we use them as we hope the creators intended, to increase the exposure of their product. Some forums don't use a published campaign setting and have a custom forum image. These are shown at the bottom of the page as purely a reference. There is a strict size restriction of 100 x 50 px or 50 x 50 px. A file size of 5 KB or smaller is preferable, since no-one likes unnecessary bloat. Images should be JPG, GIF or PNG, whichever gives the best combination of file size and image quality. Images with transparency should be PNG (unless 24-bit transparency is not required). If a logo or logotype does not need a coloured background, it's preferable to use a transparent background if possible. Animated GIFs should be avoided, product shots must be avoided, even partial product shots. For example, a scan of the top of a book or DVD. It's important that the site does not appear to be selling product, as we're a non-profit organisation. The DreamLyrics team will be able to assist all GMs in resizing and formatting forum images.
