BTW, Chrome is the choice for every geeky developer out there. The tools built in are awesome. It probably won't sway your opinion but it's just kind of a fact these days that Chrome is the browser of choice.

I think because they measure themselves against each other. On the plus side, all three are pretty good browsers compared to what they used to be, standards-wise. True. And the resources behind Chrome development are literally the best there are. It's a mission critical piece of software. I find the "resource issues" during games are not Chrome, but Roll20 itself. Thankfully, those are server-side problems.
