this thread prompted me to check mine... it shows i have 173 out of 130. i guess that means i am over a new limit of 130 and might not be able to make new PMs. i haven't had time to test it. it might just be a glitch. either way, i see the 130 limit number that AJ is seeing.

I thought I posted about this last night. Members have a limit of 100, Moderators have a limit of 130, and Administrators have a limit of 200. I don't know whether any of these numbers represent a recent change.

Do you know I didn't know that! grin And we have not changed anything in the software that I am aware of. Perhaps AJ has a change of status? He is down as a Moderator so 130 is correct.

Thinking about it, it does make sense to have different levels. That said I continually monitor my PMs to keep them under 25 ie on the first page so all are visible. We do have to consider what adds to our storage (Site size) as we pay for this. smile

Correction: There was a change last year to the new levels, having checked everyone's account level. Apologies if this has caused any inconvenience.

Not me. I am like Gypsy. I keep my PMs down so they fit on a single page.

Down to a single page?

I keep mine to about 2 and a half pages? But then I have a lot of older posts that I would miss if they were not there. For instance I still have the PMs Don and I exchanged, and I periodically go back and reread them.

You might want to save the 'important ones' to a system of yours!!

Applauds Zeim! grin

Mina I have posts from players in my games that I don't want to lose but if the threads are not active, I either email it to myself or copy it and save it to my PC. It does have an advantage in that it is much easier to find posts when looking for them! wink

For those that might want to tidy up/reduce their PMs, here is the link to the instruction: wink

For your information, as some time ago we were forced to find ways to reduce the size of the site because of hosting restrictions/costs, we delete PMs belonging to any member who has not logged in for 2 or more years, so as Mike rightly says, save copies of important stuff. smile

There’s a lot of words from absent friends in mine that I will miss when they are purged for space reasons.

Using Pale Moon and ... something has messed up the default settings ... specifically 'text size'. Anyone know where I change that??

Pale Moon must have changed as we haven't. Try there first. You can alter the text size of your post but not what you are seeing from others. The only generic control is to use Contrl mouse wheel to adjust text size generically. Hope that helps! smile
