Superintendant Martin Kemp

Martin is old, one of the first wave of heros, all the way back in the 1930s. He's one of the few actually left alive, and noone really knowns how old he is, possibly even him. Back in the day he was known as 'Black and Blue'. His calling card was his nigh on indestructability. He has been beaten, battered, bruised, run over by trains - and to this point come back every time. It seems even age does not phase him.

As superintendant Martin is known as 'tough but fair', and somehow seeming to know more about the day to day goings on at the school than one would think he would.

Mariel Sorenson

A graduate of the school of hard knocks, Mariel was once quite the rebel - but stopped short of moving to the VIllain side and instead ended up being one of the Phoenix Academy's first success stories. Now thirty nine, She teaches power control and ethics.

In her 'hero' life she was known as 'Phase' and is married to another Powered individual, who has chosen to remain largely anonymous and not entered into hero work.

Early life.

‘Lady Grey’, aka Mary Thomas.

Mind effecting illusions and telepathy, split persona. Teamed with Mariel for a while as an active. Moved to teach at Phoenix when she had a daughter. She also acts as 'Counselor" at the school.

Eric Sanderson - Null

Eric is an inventor - and he is also a power nullifier. So far he has been able to dampen just about anyone, at least temporarily - if he can get into range. He also was a renowned scientist before he manifested and has kept up his work. Currently he is located at Phoenix on loan, working on 'Special projects' - whatever that is. While there, he also teaches technology related subjects at the school.

Instructor in arts and in applied power usage, and ... math.

Older generation hero, mostly retired. Know as 'Amp"

Carmen Sorensen
