Coinciding with the release of D&D 5th Edition, Neptune and Zeim here at DreamLyrics decided to put it through its paces as a message game, Lost Mines of Phandelver.

Lost Mine of Phandelver is the official Wizards of the Coast adventure module, packaged with their Starter Set. To introduce as many eager players to the new system as possible, the GMs set up two parties to run through the adventure concurrently.

Starting in Q3 2014 and finishing in Q2 2019, the message game ran for 5 years. Parties were merged midway to share GMing duties and after completing, Neptune carried over the player characters to Wizard's official follow-up, Storm King's Thunder.

The parties suffered some losses, with 11 player characters starting, 2 being killed by a dragon (as part of the merger), and 2 being called away to offscreen adventures.

How will they fare in the new adventure? Check out STK to find out. wink

But here the GMs, Neptune and Zeim will answer any of your questions about LMP.

Action and dialogue centric meant the average words per post was about 70, which as you can see above is still quite a lot. Combine that with 7842 game posts over the years and you have a word count of 548,940; equivalent to about half of the entire Harry Potter series! kiss Amazing!
