I =REALLY= wish that the people writing the subtitles for a movie would actually listen to the dialog so that there was some 'similarity' between the audio being dubbed and what is written <sigh>

I think they're usually working from the script -- the original script.

I just watched Money Heist, which is Spanish. I use both the English dubbing and English subtitles. It's funny how dissimilar the text is sometimes - especially when they curse.

Cursing is very culturally dependent as I am sure you know.

Yeah ... but that doesn't ... justify the ... 'disconnect' between the dialog and the subtitles <sigh>
