My name is Lena Grisky, and I go to the best ballet school in the world. But I have a secret. I am a time traveler from 1905, and my boyfriend Henry is doing everything he can to get me home.

Find Me in Paris follows the story of a young Russian girl, Helena 'Lena' Grisky studying ballet in Paris. Lena is a top student, and some say destined to become the next ballet legend. Her life is thrown into a loop when her boyfriend Henry gives her a necklace that he found- which allows travel through time. As her parents decide to pull her from the school, to return to Russia. As she runs away, her necklace activates and carries her to- 2018.

What it's got:

Time Travel
Ballet
Hints that Lena will become some bad-ass time traveler sometime in the future.
"Time Controllers" hunting down Leni and other time travelers.
Strong hints that something, or some one, is manipulating time for nefarious purposes.
Some pretty great dance moves!
The visuals (backdrop, scenery, etc.) are impressive.

Find Me in Paris is on Hulu, and I found it last night as I could not sleep.

I am a sucker for Time Travel- books, movies, Television Shows, so I decided to check it out.

It is time travel meets the movie Center Stage, and Lena has to face antagonists at the school as well as time-stealing "Controllers."

What it doesn't have:
It's a bit cheesy.
Lena's antics in 2018 are a little painful to watch.
The Time Controllers are, so far after only two episodes, pretty boy steampunkers.
The 2018 Ballerina-Villain is very cliché.
It's a teen show- not a bad teen show, but still a teen show.

The episodes are about 30 minutes each, so watching a few is not a huge time commitment- give it a show.

From those images, it reminds me of the wonderful musicals of the 40s, 50s & 60s <g> I will watch for it to show up on NetFlix ... but I am doubtful it will show up there <pout>

Looks like I might give it a go as well! Mike, doubtful it will hit Netflix as it is a Hulu original sad But... Hulu is not that expensive smile I dropped cable and just use Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Netflix, for a fraction of the monthly price.

That was what I expected, Mina <g> I get cable for the shows my wife wants to watch, pay for NetFlix for the things I want to watch <g> Sadly ... being retired ... I am counting pennies and can't justify that expense right now <sigh>

Mike, if you ever get bored and want to binge it- do the free Hulu trial!

I have tempted by that 'plan' a couple of times, Gryph. But I am too 'ethically challenged' by that sort of thing <sigh> Clearly it sux to have an ethic :-/

Mike,

There is nothing unethical about it!

Honestly, when they do "Free Trial," companies WANT you binging their shows in the hopes that you will find enough value in their service that you continue on past the free trial.

Either that or forget to cancel in time.

It's a fun show, if you like dance or time travel- of course I am only on episode 3.

It may not be 'illegal' but, for me, signing up =knowing= that it was just to watch that one show for free feels 'wrong' to me <shrug>
