I just finished watching this on Netflicks and all I can say is WOW! and "No wonder it won the Oscar!".

I love the way they handled the animation, it gave the movie a much more comic booky feel than most animated superhero movies. And considering the fact that it is yet another origin story, the story was quite entertaining.

Up until now my favorite animated supers have all been in the DC-verse, as they have always felt more like movies to me than cartoons but I've never been completely happy with the house art style they almost all have.

But this movie is beautiful and while one cannot speak absolutely about something that has not yet been done I think it is safe to say it is superior to any live-action version that could have put out there.

So, who else has seen this and were you as impressed as I was?

On and needless to say if you haven't seen this yet and you like superheroes, then IMHO you absolutely should.
I have avoided most of the supers movies for many of the same reasons. But the biggest reason is that I have yet find one that is as ... 'entertaining' as a decent comic. I have a similar problem with movies based on books that I like <sigh>
It was excellent. I saw it in the theater.

I was reluctant because i just wasn't sure how it would come across as a theatrical release... but it hung around in my theaters for a long time- i saw good reviews, and a comic loving fan asked me to go with him because he had a chance to finally see it.

I was impressed, and surprised at how good it actually was. the story was tight and the animation never detracted from my immersion in the story. it even worked really well on the big screen.
MikeD it is in Netflicks and you should check it out, if it disappoints you can always turn it off and you haven't lost anything as you already have Netflicks but I don't think it will.
Yeah, Don. It =is= on my list, so I will get to it ... eventually <weg>
I enjoyed it much more than Avengers: Endgame actually. Really top notch storytelling and animation.

(I will say though, it's a straight rip-off of the Ninja Turtles animated movie, Turtles Forever. If you haven't seen that film, you'll be fine. If you have, then Into The Spider-Verse's story at least, won't hold any surprises.)
Damn <sigh>
