and with episode 12 the story of Castle Rock wrapped up it's story lines *extremely* satisfactorily, in the tradition of the old Steven King.

Was the Kid's story true? Or was it simply a story of an unlucky town and our own dark side?




I got a big kick out of the stinger. Especially if you remember who Jackie's uncle is.

... and I've just started Season 2, even though it's probably been out for a while. And in the very first episode, they pull off a wonderful, beautifully underspoken "omg this is going to go so south so fast" and very subtle hit-you-with-a-two-by-four bit of foreshadowing ...

That is, when the lead character glances at a map on the wall and you learn the name of the town just on the other of the river from Castle Rock.

It's an excellent example of "show don't tell" storytelling!
