I’ve just been watching this on Netflix (which we decided to give a go for giggles and poops).
All I can say is – good grief its superb! Hits all the right buttons for me, I can’t stop watching.

I'd read Leviathan Wakes before and I have to say, the Netflix series is probably better. At first, I didn't like what they did with Miller and Holden's characters---I read Miller as more of a Samuel L. and Holden as a Ryan Reynolds---but the adaptation worked superbly once it got into its stride.
I see they're making Altered Carbon into a TV series now. That will be much harder to do justice too imo. A very visual world and some adult content. I mean, the sex scenes in the book were pornographic. Well written though.
I'm looking forward to seeing how they progress the characters in the TV show especially Amos who i'm sure is going to have some form of psychotic break especially after speaking with that protomolecule scientist they rescued.
I love the level of attention to detail in the show and the whole Belter culture and the language element is just glorious to watch - exactly what I would expect to see when humanity leaves earth behind for a few hundered years.
Undoubtedly my favorite show. Can't wait for season 4, and thanks for the link LionHawke! I donated to the campaign and perhaps I'll do a game here based on the shows RPG.
Well just started season 1 - first 3 episodes. Hooked!
Has a sort of Babylon 5 vibe but more gritty. Cool!
I suspect I am going to have to do something dubious on the internet to get at Season 3 - it has no release date in NZ

Definitely a B5 vibe. Politics are even more relatable. Chrisjen is awesome! Love that actress. I broke down and got the Apple season pass. Not quite done, because of starting classes back up, but it is tough to watch just one episode at a time.
Would be very intrigued to be part of a storyplay based upon it.
Gotta love those Belters though, if there was a game for this setting I would definately play one. I'm especially impressed by the level of detail they go into with the Belter language, it sounds so believable.

I'm really suprised that it isnt on Netflix in the US, we have both season 1 and 2 here in the UK and its been there for at least a year now. Perhaps its a distribution / licensing thing between the Sci-fi channel and Netflix in the US.
I am sure it will show up here before long <g>
If anyone is still unsure whether to watch this show, it got high marks and recommendation from CJ Cherryh. It likely won't hop to Netflix since it is a Prime property now and the reason we're getting season 4.
