The legendary Victor Wooten, one of the greatest bass players there has ever been, has decided to try his hand at Progressive Metal with his new group, Octavision. This is their first track, 'Three Lives'. Thoughts?

I first discovered Victor when he was still calling himself Future Man and playing with Bela Fleck <g> Been a fan ever since. He had been here several times to do 'master classes' at Sweetwater Sound.

Nice stuff, but FWIW, this feels more 'Zappa-esque' than 'Metalish' <g>
