Imagine life in an ironically magical world where 144,000 doors separate fiction from reality. A place that can hypnotize even the most grounded philosophy major and deliver a fantastical rhyme to his reason. A place where a best buddy resembles a shaggy carpet, and adventures surpass a boy's dreams? Welcome to Castle Perilous.

Pirates of Perilous, ninth book in the amazing Castle Perilous series, is out and available. Full of pirates (thus the title), zombies, one demonic castle, villains from the past... this latest installment has it all.

I grew up reading the Castle books, and I worried... would this new manifestation hold on to me as the other ones had. Would I recognize my beloved characters, or would time have changed them in the author's mind?

Halfway through the book and I am as much in love with this series as ever. Definitely a series with tons of potential RP ideas... give it a go!

I've never read any of that series, Mina, but I see where Barnes & Noble has the entire series (except for the newest one) available as Nook books. I might buy the first two or so and see what they're like.

Yes the newest one is currently only available as a paper copy, but it will be in ebook format, I think, in a couple of months. Ex, let me know what you think of the books smile

I believe that they are all available as audio books at audible.com if you like to listen.

I'd consider that, Mike, but the CD player in my car is currently being non-cooperative. sad
