A major part of my slowness this week is that we will be adding two new characters to the adventuring group.

One new player and one returning player!

Exeter will be bringing a follower of Lord Rames the Protector into the group.

Phoenix Prime will be bringing a minstrel on our adventures.

Lets welcome them both and thank them muchly!

Thus if I'm still slow over the next week it will be because we are prepping them for their grand entrance ... well as far as grand can be in the middle of nowhere and in the shadow of the Dirkwood Forest!

Has shown some healing, I believe has healed a broken, maybe severed arm and someone quite badly hurt.

All I can say is ... She's complicated.

Short of five feet, mischevious mein. From the look late teens or early twenties at best, often looks younger. Quick. Nimble. Stealthy when she chooses. Tricksy. Stubborn. Proud. Humble. Quick tempered. Forgiving. She is many things.

Any more than that, well, you are going to have to suss it out for yourself.

Rhoni wanderer, looking for family and other kin. Can be a quiet type but direct when he has something to say.

"Mikal" D'Allynne



A follower of Jvrill, Mikal is in his late 20s. He is currently under "contract" as Kadri's bodyguard, although he is also something else.

Earnest and passionate about helping the poor and unfortunate, Mikal has spent several years working with a mercenary Troop and several more years as a lone mercenary all along the Highland Path helping farmers and small villages. He has garnered a reputation among those farmers and villagers as being someone who will stand up for them against those who take advantage of them or take them for granted.

Maybe the GM should make that Sticky Thread for characters.

I'm not going to tell y'all about Keiko. Everything you need to know about her is in the To Waverider's Watch thread. She's a new character, too. So everyone gets to learn about her along with the New Folks. (There's a picture of her in the Gallery... and now that I have my own precious desk set up with room to actually work, I'll probably jump back into Photoshop one of these days and do a better job.)

(Ye know... as much as I like to go into a new situation already knowing about the characters who are already there, I'm having a hard time reconciling the Sharing of Information here with that desire. I think I alluded above to the belief that part of roleplaying is learning about the world and characters as you go along. I actually had a harder time with Keiko than with Daxia because I, the player, already know these characters. I have to very consciously separate what Daxia knows / thinks / feels about each of the characters from what Keiko is learning. That would be why Keiko and Cesare are going to have quite the interesting [fine... volatile] dynamic where Daxia and Cesare have a comfortable friendship. [Hey, remember when they first met and Cesare was flirting with Dazi and Kadri and Dazi was oblivious to it? Cuz she was thinking about her girlfriend... Ah, Kisa. Good times!]

And the flip side of the coin is this... are you [Exeter and Jim] going to share information about your characters here, too? Or let us learn about them as they're introduced in the game? If I were to look at the previous posts as an outsider, I'd assume that sharing here would be the norm. And as someone who has been here since the beginning, I'm more confused than Nivek usually is. )

I will be sharing nothing. The GM will present my character and you will all have to deal with it<g>. If the GM reveals anything(directly of indirectly) to the players(publicly or privately) then that is within his right to do so. But for my part- you will have to get to know my character with each step we take together.

It pleases me to see we are not only in the same book but in the same chapter. <checks notebook> Hmm. Even on the same page! Now if we can manage to keep our characters from killing one another, we will have sunshine and unicorns...

What? Where are the unicorns? Far away from the Forest? Oh. Even the white ones? Hmm.

...well, sunshine during the day and maybe a good Harvest season. Yay!
