yes, a per encounter spell is a good way of putting it ... and you are not being ignored this weekend; I am waiting on a Bekkah post and I believe it will be better to wait until Zem returns and posts bwfore moving on.

Your own tactics on how to solve the problem of overwhelming numbers of lizard-things have been great, I wouldn't want to jinx that streak!

A few notes:

L1 – Armored, with a sword and shield … limping slowly on one leg
L2 – Armored, with sword and shield … bleeding arm-stump, no sword, only shield
L3 - down and bleeding .. and it just isn't stopping bleeding ... no longer a threat
Sh – Incoming shark.

Bekkah – A heal 1 will stop the bleeding, get Bekkah up and active, but still very hurt, with the least amount of power used. A heal 4 will completely close the wound, eliminate a major amount of hurt, but she’ll need a day or two of rest to completely heal.

This is a shark cult! It would be just wrong not to have a shark-boss! smile

Everyone is in the water. It's somewhere between a foot to eighteen inches deep.

Sharks can swim in shallow water ...

... you only have one shark to deal with ...

And there are only three 'living' foes in the room until the hark arrives ... L1 and L2, who are not in good shape, and L5, who has yet to move from his door.

Can we get a status summary? There are still lots of creatures shown on the map and I am not sure who is who and who is still a threat? Or is it only the Shark?

Was still waiting for an update (see above). The map is awfully crowded and I am fairly sure many of the things are dead or no longer a threat. Can we clean up the map? Otherwise it looks like we are in the midst of several enemies. If it's just the Shark it'll make it clearer where we can move to.

I certainly remember typing it out. I have this funny feeling It posted three times and I may have accidentally deleted one too many extras! I suspect thats what happened, and if so, that's my fault!

To sum up - there is only one threat remaining ... the shark.

The only other living "foe" is the fifth lizard-thing by the door, who is trying not to be seen.

The combat is over!

Yea!

There is still one lizard-thing left alive, but he is guarding his door. You may presume that if you don’t get within striking range he will stay put.

Mikal, luckily, was bitten in his OTHER leg, so while close to unconsciousness he is still up and alive. A heal 1 will stabilize the wound and keep him from hurting more. Bekkah can use a heal 4 to fully heal the leg. Mikal – while once healed he can move around and do things without issue – will still need three days to completely heal (unless he can get another Atteran to cast the proper Divine Spell on him)

The next step – how to deal with this situation – is up to you folks. Fair warning; you should look to the nature of relationships in Talesan’s Village when considering what to do next!

A good place to start for that might be the Jvrillians that are in town now ... though tarrying may not make Khorall Larsen very happy.

so there was just a mention of "hiring day" during the market. Is that the common practice? Is there something like tables or booths setup and those who wish to hire jvrillians sit there while applicants line up?
