Oath of Fealty takes place in the world of the paladin Paksennarion and takes up where her trilogy leaves off. This time though, it is told from the view of her comrades; Company Commander Duke Phelan, now King of Lyona, his Captains Jandelir Arcolin and and Dorrin Verrakkai.

It was wonderful to return to Paks' world, and I have always enjoyed Elizabeth Moon's writing. Oath of Fealty does not disappoint. I am hoping that this is only the first installment as I would very much like to spend more time in this world.

What were the books in the original trilogy called?

Deeds of Paksenarrion
1. Sheepfarmer's Daughter
2. Divided Allegiance
3. Oath of Gold

There are also the The Legacy of Gird and Liar's Oath which are much earlier in this world's time line. Again, marvelous reads. I may just have to go digging for my copies and the Herris Serrano's I have.

Might add those to my wish list!

Man, I read those ages ago. Really good books from my vague memory. Have to get the new ones.

DH just finished reading this book. His comment was, "I hope we don't have to wait 2 years for the next one."

Interestingly I found I have the first three combined into one hugs hardback in my unread books section - I am really trying to read more regularly again as I have too many of those!

So now I have started it, only a few chapters in but really enjoying it so far! Thanks!

Her Herris Serrano series is excellent too, although I know I'm missing a couple of the most recent ones.
