Okay so I finally broke down and watched this one. It is free on either Prime or HBO Max, I cannot remember which one. I thought, I am bored, why not?

What can I say?

I should have watched this one sooner! It is rather slow to start off, but it picks up and becomes a fun sleigh, or is that slay, ride. Not a terribly creative premise. A disenchanted Santa Claus is giving up on Christmas. This is, he has decided, his last. That is until he meets Trudi, who is on the Nice List for a variety of good things she has done, including "Invited weird kid to party."

The problem? Trudi is spending Christmas at her Grandmother's house with the whole extended dysfunctional family. They are also being held hostage by a variety of bad guys using Christmas names, such as Gingerbread, Tinsel, etc. And they are all on the Naughty List for a variety of offenses like: "Grand theft auto," "Murder," and "Kicked a dog."

Santa of course has to save the day with a bit of Christmas Magic that he still does not understand.

All in all it is combination of Home Alone and Santa (who loves sledge hammers).

Give this a go for a silly foiled-heist movie with a bit of violence included.

Thanks for reminding me!

I want to watch it, just have to pick a time when my wife won't be home. She would have to close her eyes and ears too darn often to make it possible. grin
