A few photos from HRH Prog 3, held in a former holiday camp in north Wales. Mostly Autumn and The Enid topped the bill on Friday, and Steeleye Span and Rick Wakeman on Saturday.

There were bassoons!

(Knifeworld)

Violins!

(Anna Phoebe)

Flutes!

(Anne-Marie Helder of Mostly Autumn)

And more violins

(Steeleye Span)

Olivia Sparnenn of Mostly Autumn

Christina Booth of Magenta

Kim Seviour of Touchstone

Maggie Prior of Steeleye Span

So... there was much Sax and Violins....

(Sorry, I had to say it)

It was nice to see some Steeleye Span. Whenever I play their music and folks ask the group's name, I tend to get 'huh?!' as a response.

Steeleye Span seemed an odd choice for a day that started out with a guitar-shredding metal band, but it worked.

Steeleye Span - now there's a name from my past! Saw them at a concert early 70s and also Yes (Rick Wakeman), one of my favourite bands from that era. Heart of the Sunrise probably my favourite track. grin

Sounds like an eclectic mix of bands ... as well as some eclectic mixes of instruments in the bands <g>

And Raven, thanks for saving me from having to say that <weg>

Good article smile especially with that bit of drama with the breaking of a hand. Glad the show went on! smile
