I was lucky enough to get a pass for the photo pit at the HRH Prog festival held in the former Butlins just outside Pwllheli in north Wales.

Here are just a few of the 1000-odd pictures I took.



There aren't many bands fronted by Klingon-speaking university professors, but Crimson Sky are one of them.

There is nobody quite like The Enid. The instrument is a wind-synth, which is a strange hybrid of synthesiser and clarinet.



Former Marillion singer Fish headlined the show.



Members of other bands kept showing up in the pit during Fish's set.






Although Fish was top of the bill, the last band on were 80s folk-prog veterans Solstice, who played a superb set.
