Aendell's dirt poor parents gave him to the church when he turned 6 years old in exchange for a few bushels of food. After spending time as an altar boy and scullery in the church kitchen he had a growth spurt and was sent to the Paladinate for training. There he quickly took to the martial life and excelled in weapons, both on foot and mounted. He felt abandoned by his parents, and found the worship of Iomedae filled a hole in his being. He vowed to never turn his back on the poor and unfortunate and once he turned 18 he took the tests and the vows as a Paladin.
He wears the red and white colors of Iomedae on his clothes and armour and wear a Sun symbol on a chain around his neck.
