A collaboration between Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi and the Dean of Birmingham Cathedral, the Very Rev Catherine Ogle, featuring the boys and men of Birmingham Cathedral Choir.
It seems an unlikely collaboration indeed, but the result is a beautiful piece of music.
They said a lot of the same things when in the 70s rock groups started 'fooling around' with things like orchestral collaborations. Some of those were amazing for =their= time! <g>
This seems very much in keeping with that creative spirit.
Quite enjoyable. Definitely different from his usual stuff. Not like when Metallica did stuff with symphonic accompaniment. They played their own work enhanced. This has the feeling of being quite far a field of his work.
Thanks for sharing. I would likely have missed it otherwise.
