I also think Dame Maggie Smith is one of the best actresses in film or TV! | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 16,072 Likes: 20 Mayhem Inc. Moderator | OP Mayhem Inc. It has a lot of big name stars in it....

if it's not official, then I can name about 5 different people in Death on the Nile
David Niven
(or maybe Angela Lansbury, or George Kennedy, or Bette Davis, or Peter Ustinov) but the official guess would be David Niven | | | | Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 173,523 Likes: 7 Babylon 5 Rules Administrator | Babylon 5 Rules Administrator Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 173,523 Likes: 7 | | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,067 Likes: 9 Wobbly Headed Administrator | Wobbly Headed Administrator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 13,067 Likes: 9 | Aye, PP, I was thinking of Agatha Christie movies of the Seventies. So pure guess. | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 24,679 Likes: 10 Moderator | Moderator Joined: May 2000 Posts: 24,679 Likes: 10 | Neil- I figured as much. this genre was a big one for as a boy in 70s- my parents watched these movies and i loved Ustinov as Hercule Poirot- the right mix of comedy and serious crime solving. We also watched a lot of columbo growing up as well. I enjoyed movies in this vein, even the sillier ones too.
Ken????? The Bishop's wife- You're killing us! Hah!
that movie is from the 40s... without Don or Exeter playing this will be a real test for the rest of us... I know one name from this movie(and it wasn't David Niven), only because it was played before on DL, a few years back, and i was at a loss then, but one of the above mentioned guys knew it... in fact those two could keep us in the 40s 50s and 60s for several rounds at a time... Let's see if anyone has anything before I play again | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 16,072 Likes: 20 Mayhem Inc. Moderator | OP Mayhem Inc. And I know a lot of people in it... including one of my favorite actresses, Elsa Lanchester!

Bride of Frankenstein (1935) I remember watching that movie with my brother when I was about five years old, laying on our stomachs in front of the old black and white television at night.
